The Ministry Seminars

The Ministry is delighted to introduce its first official games in June 2019.

At The Ministry we currently hold some of the most sort after seminars in the UK. In 2019 we aim to promote one of the biggest fitness events in the UK and regularly over the coming years.

With permission from undoubtedly one of the worlds toughest gyms, we have structured an event around our own Ministry Gym programming, mindset and training methods and the workouts and training methods of Gym Jones. This ethos and the demanding engine based workouts will be slightly adapted for competition standard.

The event will be comprised of 3 physically demanding workouts with an added mental toughness twist being demanded, mixed pair categories, non-technical and focused on overall functional fitness & endurance.

The final being held late afternoon.

The event will change year on year and no 2 workouts will be the same.

The games will take place Saturday 15th June from 9am – 5pm at The Ministry and will be an Open event for mixed pairs.

We are limiting the event to 20 pairs.

This wont be like any other event so come prepared body, mind and soul.

Intro to Weightlifting and Recovery Based Nutrition.

Date: Saturday 20th April

Time: Start 10.30am

Finish: 4pm

An Olympic Lifting workshop catering for those interested in learning the basics and those more advanced wanting a refresher. Olympic lifts The Snatch, Clean, and Jerk will be combined with 2 compound lifts the Overhead Press and the Overhead Squat. All these lifts will be broken down to basics and presented in a light informal atmosphere. This workshop is open to ages 16+ and for men and Women.

The seminar will include;

Specific tuition showing the breakdown and ‘back to basics’ of these Olympic Lifts and their accessories.

Valuable and personalised tuition helping you learn and strengthen your technique.

A Nutrition talk that will support you entirely through Preparation, Pre-lifting and Post lifting Recovery.

We’ll also educate both males and females on the different stages of the female menstrual cycle whilst weightlifting.

Finishing up with a Q&A from the seminar instructors.
